(4 years old): Preschool Aquatics teaches age-appropriate water and safety skills in a positive, logical progression beginning with fundamental water safety and aquatic skills. In order to move to the next class, students must be comfortable putting their face in the water for three or more seconds. ![]() This class focuses on the fundamentals of freestyle and floating. (3 years old): This class bridges the Parent/Child class to the Learn-to-Swim program and is designed for preschool aged children who have never been in a swim class but are ready to hold on to the wall and be in the pool without a parent. There is an emphasis on communication between parent and instructor in order to make the most of each lesson. This class is designed for individuals ages 13 and older who would like to learn and/or improve upon their current swimming skills. Register for Junior Lifeguarding Adult Swim Participants will also continue stroke refinement, developing speed and increasing endurance through strength, distance, and drill training. ![]() The Junior Lifeguarding class teaches elements of a lifeguarding certification, including water entries, basic first aid, and an introduction to CPR. Students will be tested on the first day of the class. Students entering this course must be able to swim 50 yards front crawl, 50 yards back crawl, and 25 yards breaststroke. This class is designed for children ages 10-15. Register for Swim 105 Junior Lifeguarding In Swim 105 students build endurance, increase stroke proficiency, and learn butterfly and flip turns. This class is for students who can swim backstroke, front crawl, and breaststroke a minimum of 50 yards. In Swim 104 students increase endurance, refine stroke technique, and receive an introduction to breaststroke and basic turns. This class is for students who can swim 25 yards of backstroke and front crawl. In Swim 103 students improve rotary breathing, build endurance, and learn elementary backstroke. This class is for students who can swim 15 yards of backstroke and front crawl with basic rotary breathing. This class builds students' independence in swimming backstroke and front crawl while emphasizing basic rotary breathing. This class teaches the fundamentals of floating, breath control, and swimming on the front and back, along with proper water entries and exits. This class provides you and your child an introduction to fundamental water skills and pool safety through educational songs and games. ![]()
